Check the terminal for a particular flight on a particular date. An airline name or destination alone does not reliably allocate every departure to T1 or T2.
Make the main decisions in the right order
| Question | Useful information | Avoid this mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Which terminal? | Flight number and date, booking and official display | Always assigning one airline to the same terminal |
| When to arrive? | Airline guidance, baggage and formalities | Treating departure time as terminal arrival time |
| Fast Track? | Conditions of the security service | Confusing it with airline Priority |
| Which bags? | Allowance shown in the booking | Assuming different size rules apply in T1 and T2 |
| Which access? | Booked parking or bus stop and final walk | Relying on an old screenshot instead of signs |

Identify the terminal with the flight number
Write down the full flight number, departure date and airport code CRL. Check your airline confirmation and then the airport’s operational information. The documented official flight board shows that the same airline can have flights in more than one terminal. A blanket rule assigning every service of a carrier to T1 is therefore unreliable.
Information can change after a boarding pass has been issued. Follow the displays and staff instructions at the airport. Do not confuse the terminal with the gate number: reaching T1 does not mean you have reached the boarding gate. Travellers on different flights should check each reservation separately, even if their departure times are very close.

Work backwards to choose your arrival time
Start with your flight’s arrival recommendation and the airline’s check-in or bag-drop deadline. Add the walk from parking or the bus stop and some margin for a booking problem. BSCA has published a three-hour arrival recommendation for busy periods; this is planning guidance, not a measurement of the current queue.
A checked-in traveller carrying a personal bag has a different process from a family checking several suitcases. Both still need to allow time for security, any document controls and gate closure. Do not remove your margin merely because someone reported a quick journey through the airport yesterday. Queues depend on the departures and circumstances at the time you travel.
From bus stop or car park to check-in
Flibco’s published airport stop is the bus station in front of T1. That location does not determine your flight terminal: allow for the final route shown on site. Drivers should use the confirmation for their chosen parking product and follow airport signs. P1, P2 and the economy car parks are different products and do not necessarily involve an identical walk.
Keep boarding passes, identification and baggage confirmation within reach. If a bag must be checked, find the airline’s desk or bag drop before heading to security. An option called a 10 kg checked bag does not let you take that bag straight through as though it were part of a cabin-baggage allowance.
Prepare for security before joining the queue
Keep items that may need separate screening accessible and follow the security staff’s instructions. The airport’s published general rule uses liquid containers of up to 100 ml inside a transparent resealable one-litre bag. A larger bottle does not comply merely because some of its contents have been used.
Necessary medicines, baby food and specialised equipment need preparation under their relevant procedures. Check airline restrictions for batteries and unusual objects as well. Security screening does not replace the carrier’s baggage-size and weight checks. A bag that passes through the scanner may still be measured at the boarding gate, so prepare for both checks rather than assuming the first settles everything.
Understand what Fast Track actually provides
Fast Track concerns access to a priority security route. It removes neither the screening requirement nor the airline’s deadlines. Check the terminal, validity period and conditions of the product offered for your journey. A price found on an older page is not a guaranteed price at the time you book.
Ryanair or Wizz Air Priority is an airline service and does not automatically mean airport Fast Track. Conversely, priority security access does not provide a second trolley allowance. Compare what you actually need before buying overlapping options. No priority route should be treated as a guarantee that a traveller arriving late can still catch the flight.
Check documents before setting out
Review the documents required for your destination and nationality. A Morocco journey has different document preparation from travel within the Schengen area. The name on the ticket should match the documents used; resolve discrepancies before reaching the airport rather than waiting until boarding.
Children need their own required documents, with any additional authorisations relevant to their family situation and destination. Keep useful copies offline without exposing personal data in public. Downloading a boarding pass does not establish that the destination’s authorities have approved all entry conditions. Check those requirements with official sources while there is still time to obtain a missing document.
Services, families and assistance: check specific needs
Locate services you need before or after security, as their position affects when you can use them. Check the opening hours of a restaurant, lounge or facility if your plans depend on it. A shop shown on a terminal map may not be open for a very early departure. Carry essentials for the journey rather than relying on a last-minute purchase.
Arrange assistance or specific mobility support with the airline and airport before travelling. Explain the equipment used and the actual support required. Families can decide beforehand who holds the documents, who accompanies each child and where to meet after screening. That small amount of preparation is more useful than separating without a plan in an unfamiliar terminal.
Use live information and understand the evidence
When checked on 22 October 2026, the main BSCA website displayed a security-maintenance notice. It stated that operations continued and directed travellers to the CRL Airport app for flight information. Website unavailability does not establish that a terminal is closed or a flight cancelled. Your airline’s own communication remains important.
This guide distinguishes documented rules from changing operational conditions. We do not invent queue times or assign airlines permanently to terminals. Recheck the flight before leaving your accommodation and consult the displays on arrival. If information changes, keep the original confirmation but follow updated operational instructions from the airline and airport.
Frequently asked questions
Does Ryanair always use Terminal 1?
No. Check the terminal for the flight number and date. Documented flight information shows that the same airline can operate through more than one terminal.
Must everyone arrive three hours before every flight?
The airport has published this as busy-period guidance. Follow your flight-specific instructions and allow for baggage, security and formalities.
Does Fast Track replace Priority?
No. Fast Track concerns airport security; Priority is an airline service governed by the reservation.
How can I check flights during website maintenance?
Use the airline’s own channels and the CRL Airport app indicated by the airport, then check the displays when you arrive.
